Message:Re. the "Spitfire in bizarre political mess". This would be funny if not for the crass way in which it was used (without permission) and for the reasons behind its use. I guess the BNP don't realize how many Polish, Canadian, American and other airmen fought in the Sky's at the Battle of Britain (for the benefit of the British). I guess ignorance is bliss after all.

Message:Nice model of Spit, I have downloaded it, especially to learn how to paint aircraft skin textures. I have just started to make e-models, as an hobby.
I have some detailed questions:
1. I have loaded the *.obj model into Blender. The leading edge is rather thick - is it a translation error, or you have modeled it this way?
2. The wing of this Spitfire is the universal "E" wing (it was possible to mound in it one of: one 12.7 mm gun or 4 7.7 mm guns). It was not used in the Jan Zumbach's Spitfire Mk VB, which texture you have used. Have you noticed it?
3. Funniest story: do you know, that *this* model has contributed to the fail of NBP anti-imigrants campaign "Battle of Britain 2009"? They have placed its render as the main picture, not noticing the Polish insignia on the nose of the Spitfire! A "grim simle of the History", really. Thank you again, for this model. If you wish , you can find at my small site (http://vaircraft.neostrada.pl) a detailed La-5 model, free for the downloads...

Response: I'll write you an email with answers :)

Yes I'm aware of the fuzz this model has caused. I've seen it in British and Polish magazines.
