My late father-in-law claimed to be the smallest man to have flown one in WWII. Said he had to stand on the rudder with BOTH feet during takeoff to overcome the torque from the engine. Once his right wing was shot all to pieces and replaced, but they never did paint it so it was always silver! Thanks! |
